January saw me busy preparing for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours’ annual exhibition which duly went on show in March at the Mall Galleries, London, and I was delighted to be the recipient of The Baohong Artists' Watercolour Paper Prize for my piece ‘Canal at Night, East London’.

I was also delighted to hold a demonstration day centred around my sketchbook practice for an extremely lively and engaged audience – thank you to everyone who came along and showed such an interest in my work.

From now on I shall be working hard on my new online course looking at taking sketches into finished pieces without losing their spontaneity. I’ll also be teaching the odd one day in-person workshop and of course, painting away for future exhibitions and events!
