This year has seen another enjoyable exhibition and teaching opportunity with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. The RI’s annual exhibition was held at the Mall Galleries in April and as a new member I was delighted to show 4 works from my latest collection. The show included over 450 pieces with a huge range of talented and diverse exhibits. As part of the RI’s lively exhibition programme I was delighted to deliver a gallery lecture on contemporary approaches to watercolour, along with a deep dive into my sketchbooks….thank you to all who came and made it such a vibrant and special day.

I’m taking some time off from exhibiting this summer with the aim of concentrating on a new collection of work. Based around the theme of waterways, it will examine sources from coasts to rivers to canals in a more abstracted manner, particularly through the use of water based media.
