Winter 2021 – 22

January 26, 2022

After a very successful Summer solo exhibition, I took the opportunity to mix art with socialising by holding a lovely Christmas Open Studio event in December. I particularly enjoyed showing some of my new watercolour and gouache pieces, which are starting to inform my larger works and oil paintings. I’m excited at the opportunity to combine these disciplines on a different scale and working towards a Christmas collection was very helpful in focussing this.

I’m also delighted to announce I’ve had a piece accepted for the Royal Society of British Artists annual open exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London this Spring so do pop along if you’re nearby! The exhibition runs from March 3rd - 12th 2022.

With a host of building work going on at home in 2022, I’m hopping between spaces to paint in so expect more works on paper (much easier to transport and dry than great big oils on canvas!) However, I’m excited to say I will have a few oils in the London Art Fair with Panter & Hall Gallery this April and I’m also looking forward to showing for the first time with the John Davies Gallery, Gloucestershire, where I’ll have a large selection of recent work of all shapes and sizes in a dynamic group show.

In the meantime, here are a few of this Winter’s works on paper, including a snowy landscape heading to the Mall Galleries this Spring….for the full collection please visit my Watercolours page.
